@SafestAreas
SafestAreas.com was born out of personal frustration and a vision to make relocation easier and more informed for everyone. Having moved 19 times across 16 different states, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of finding the right neighborhood—even with great real estate agents by my side. While some agents were fantastic, others were just average, and the free websites I relied on were often incomplete or outdated. Despite my years of investigative experience, I found myself spending countless hours trying to piece together the information I needed.
One moment that stood out was when a real estate agent told me, “Well, look at Google Maps, and if you see bodies, then don’t live there.” That approach simply wasn’t enough. I wanted more than just a property—I needed to know if the neighborhood was safe, if it aligned with my family’s lifestyle, and if it truly offered what we valued. As foodies, for example, one location seemed promising based on the online listings, but when we arrived, COVID had shuttered many of the restaurants, and even the open options were a 30-minute drive—an hour with Atlanta traffic.
I realized that many people face these same struggles, often without the tools, time, or expertise to dig deeper. SafestAreas.com was created to change that—to provide tailored safety and lifestyle insights, fill the gaps left by free sites, and empower movers with the confidence to find a neighborhood that truly feels like home. Whether it’s safety data, commute times, or lifestyle compatibility, our mission is to make relocation smarter, easier, and more transparent.
