That's when I turned my sights to becoming a virtual assistant. Growing up, I've always been drawn to technology. Whether it was tinkering with gadgets or learning new software, tech has been a constant interest. These past few years, I've dived deep into financial literacy. It all started with the Rich Dad series by Robert Kiyosaki, which completely shifted my mindset. From there, I became a voracious reader, devouring books on self-help, personal finances, and trading psychology. This knowledge inspired me to learn about trading in the forex and crypto markets. I'm also exploring investments in gold, silver, Bitcoin, real estate, and businesses. The key realization? To reach true freedom, I need assets like rental properties that generate passive income to cover my monthly expenses. I'm not there yet, but I'm confident that with consistent effort, that dream life is on the horizon.

My Tekken Journey: From Casual Fan to Competitive Grinder

On a lighter note, let's talk about one of my biggest passions: Tekken. I've been playing competitively since 2018, and it's been an incredible ride. My main character? Kazuya Mishima, the series' protagonist-turned-antagonist. He's a total badass—tough, complex, and notoriously difficult to master. I chose him to prove that with dedication, you can succeed even with the hardest challenges. Early on, grinding Tekken was brutal. Fighting games expose your habits and weaknesses, especially as a beginner or intermediate player using one of the game's toughest characters.

But persistence paid off. I got noticed for my punishing defense, earning the nickname "Kapitan Tagas"—a nod to my marine transportation studies ("Kapitan" for captain) and "tagas" meaning insane or hard-hitting punishment. It all started in my childhood; I was hooked on the Tekken franchise for its epic story and gameplay. Characters like the masked wrestler King, Bruce Lee-inspired fighters, Jackie Chan vibes, the edgy Jin Kazama with his daddy issues, and the badass old man Heihachi drew me in.

In 2018, while playing at a PS4 cafe with a classmate, a long-haired guy challenged us. He didn't look like much at first, but he absolutely destroyed me. That loss sparked a friendship—he became my best friend and teammate. Through him, I discovered our city's Tekken community, igniting my serious grind. I'd finish classes and head straight to play until night, then watch tutorials and pro scenes at home.

My first offline tournament? Top 13—proud moment. The next one? Top 8. Then the pandemic hit, shifting everything online. Despite Tekken 7's iffy netcode, I competed in weekly regionals sponsored by a local player. I snagged at least two wins and three second places. With Tekken 8, the shift to a more offense-oriented style challenged my defensive play, but I hit Tekken God Supreme with Kazuya. Still, I'm pushing for God of Destruction to prove my skill.

Ultimately, I realized becoming a pro Tekken player requires all-in commitment, which clashes with my financial goals. I can't split my time efficiently between both. So, I'll prioritize getting rich—then I can still compete in tournaments without needing sponsors. Tekken has given me so much: lifelong friends, global connections, and a thriving local scene. I'm grateful for every match and the community it's built.
