Two days after my birthday, I'm reflecting on a powerful truth:
Gratitude and grief can coexist.
I'm grateful for another year of life, growth, resilience, and meaningful connections. But I'm also grieving the relationships, mindsets, and energies that no longer align with the woman I'm becoming.
Midlife has taught me that protecting my peace isn't selfish—it's necessary. Sometimes growth means honoring what was while accepting what can no longer continue.
I've learned that solitude is often more powerful than staying connected to people who drain, diminish, or discourage your evolution.
At this stage of my life, I don't need a crowd. I need alignment.
