You know, as the social media and community platform UI/UX experience continues to blend I find myself thinking about the dawn of web2 when we thought social platforms themselves were entire communities. Facebook was a community of people. YouTube was was a catalyst for communities that usurped the YouTubers who created fans on their platform. Now we find ourselves returning to the concept over and over, throughout the past decade. I start to wonder what the nature and purpose of 'stadium communities' has become. It's as if we keep moving the goalpost because we know what community is NOT but not quite what it is.
