Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to post that today I am celebrating a double birthday. 52 years ago today I was brought into this world, not knowing all the challenges and adversities that I would have to face and overcome. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with HIV and told I probably wouldn't live to see my 18th birthday. Yet, here I am over a half a century later and never felt better about my life as I do today.

My second birthday I am celebrating is 8 years of sobriety. After being on drugs for 19 years I can honestly say I never thought I would be able to see one year of sobriety, Yet here I am celebrating 8 years clean and sober and not looking back. I have to Thank God for all his amazing blessings. Everybody has a past that they might not be proud of. The key to real happiness is to not cover-up your past, but instead embrace it because if you had not gone through whatever it was, you would not be the strong, successful person that you are today!!!

My words of wisdom for today are: Don't let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve what you set out to do, you can and you are worthy of happiness, love and peace. Love you all my brothers and sisters in Christ.
