Earlier today I called SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) inquiring about support materials for National Recovery Month 2025. Sadly, the cuts in the budget have made it impossible for SAMSHA to host this year.
I am NOT OK with that, so I am organizing a Pickleball Fundraiser to benefit the National Association of Mental Illness (NAMI). I would love to get the both communities (pickleball and recovery) plus the local business get behind this initiative.
The tournament is September 14th, hopefully at Replay Club in Boynton. We have secured a top pickleball player to help organize the tourney and will have media coverage.
