Permission to Pause: What Spring Taught Me About Recalibrating as a Coach
We don’t talk enough about rhythms in business.
About how our energy shifts with the seasons. About how growth sometimes requires stillness—or space to breathe.
For me, winter is a season of hibernation and hustle. I spend more time indoors, working on content, client calls, and building programs. I stay cozy, focused, and creative—especially when the weather keeps me inside.
But then spring arrives… and everything changes.
The sunlight returns. The snow melts. And I feel it in my bones—it’s time to get outside.
This season, I’ve been spending hours prepping and clearing our family garden patch, and let me tell you—it’s exactly where I need to be.
When you pause content creation, you reconnect to real life
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been less visible online—not because I’ve stopped caring, but because I’ve been caring deeply:
🌱 For my land
🌱 For my body
🌱 For the rhythm that spring brings
I’m not creating less. I’m just creating in different ways. I’m planting, grounding, and recalibrating.
And that pause? It taught me something important:
Your business has seasons too
We’re so conditioned to believe we need to be “on” all the time. To keep up, stay visible, push content out weekly or more.
But the truth is, your business can only grow as sustainably as you do.
This spring has reminded me that:
My lifestyle has shifted
My priorities include both clients and tomatoes
And it’s time to reset my calendar with more realistic, seasonal blocks of time
No more trying to squeeze everything into a schedule that doesn’t reflect how I actually want to live.
Resetting with intention
Right now, I’m doing a soft reset:
🗓 Reorganizing my days to include focused creation time and outdoor time
🌸 Giving myself permission to post less often—but more meaningfully
🌿 Honouring the fact that time in the garden fuels my clarity, creativity, and coaching
I want to normalize this for other coaches too. You’re not falling behind by living your life. You’re simply learning to lead from a place of alignment.
Final Thoughts
So if you’ve paused, shifted, or stepped back lately—that’s okay.
Whether it’s spring in your garden or a new season in your business, trust that it’s all part of your process.
✨ Let your content breathe.
✨ Let your rhythm change.
✨ Let your lifestyle lead the way.
Because building a values-aligned coaching business means designing it in harmony with the life you actually want to live. And right now? For me, that includes dirt under my fingernails and a whole lot of joy in the in-between.
