Why I wrote This Book

I wrote this story for the people who cannot speak. For the Indigenous Americans who dont exist now. This story is for people Ill never meet but who cannot speak. This story is for the Susquehannock peoples who made contributions that were never appreciated in their time.

From guilt going back to colonial times, the name Susquehanna is imprinted on rivers, schools and roads to make sure others remember the name. This story is about them. It is a story about how they lived, worked, fought and survived.

Many indigenous, tribal nations no longer exist. They too, are lost to history. Their voices are also heard in these pages. They live on through others if we choose to remember them. C.A. Rose
